TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Please read the following terms and conditions carefully. These terms and conditions govern the Refer-a-Friend Promotion.
The Promotion
Anyone who has written the IELTS exam with the British Council can participate in the Promotion. To become a referrer (“Referrer/s”), you must register with the link provided in the email from the British Council. Once registered, you and your friend will receive an email with instructions on the next steps.
Friends must use the referral link that they receive from the British Council to purchase their exam.
Once the friend has made a Qualifying Purchase, i.e. have completed the registration process to take the IELTS exam with the British Council, they must register their Exam Number on the original referrer's confirmation email they received.
Once the friend passes the validation process after making a Qualifying Purchase, an email will be sent to both the referrer and the friend containing the rewards.
For every friend you refer (who makes a Qualifying Purchase and passes the validation process), you will receive a £10 Amazon Gift Certificate within 90 days of your friend making a purchase.
Third-party terms and conditions may apply to the £10 Amazon gift certificate, for more information on this, please visit https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=G4Q9VQ5TAJAFXT7K
In the event of fraud, abuse, and/or an error affecting the proper operation of the promotion, British Council reserves the right to end or suspend the promotion; and/or amend these terms and conditions.
Users’ personal data will be collected, stored, and processed for the purposes of administering and assessing the Promotion. British Council will comply with all requirements of the Data Protection Act 2018. For more information on how British Council processes personal data, please see our privacy policy here.
British Council reserves the right to select and distribute the rewards based on the first 200 people to complete the process successfully. Submissions received after the offer number is reached or on the expiration of the campaign, will not be eligible for the rewards.
In the case of a dispute, the decision of the British Council Management and/or arbitration committee is final and binding on a fair assessment of the grievance. Decisions are circulated within 180 days on receipt of a formal grievance notice. Grievance notices should be sent to this email address.
