Lovelyn Chris Ita is the creative director of Luvita Creations. She holds a B.A degree in History and International Relations and a PGDE from the University of Calabar. In 2009 she was trained as a fashion stylist at the prestigious instituto maragoni,Italy.In 2015,she was selected as a fashion focus fialist for the Lagos fashion and design week.

She founded the Calabar Burst of Creatives(CBC) in 2016,aimed at promoting the creative industry in Cross River State.

Lucy has made television programmes around the world for the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Nickelodeon and Disney. She has TV credits on BAFTA and RTS award-winning children’s and factual programmes and the acclaimed flagship architecture series Grand Designs. She gained a masters degree from the British Film Institute/University of London and began her career at Sight and Sound and the BFI Archive before moving into production and then academiaat the University of Greenwich, London

He is responsible for the strategic growth and positioning of the Sage brand in the West Africa region, a fast-growing territory that the company has targeted for strategic investment in the years to come. He has more than 14 years of experience in consulting for Multinational and National companies in the areas of Taxation, Payroll Administration and Business Compliance. Presently, he focuses on business and sales development; supporting teams with a view to increase customer acquisition.

The Social Action award was presented to Mariam Momodu, a graduate of the University of Cambridge. Momodu, a commercial lawyer, academic and social entrepreneur, is the founder of GetIn Education Consulting (GetIn), a social enterprise that democratises access to education-related opportunities for African students.

GetIn has a reach of over 20,000 students and has helped Africans access over $2.5 million in scholarships.

Martin is the Creative Director and founding member of ‘Pollen8’, one of the fastest growing and successful innovation companies in London. Pollen8 help large corporate and government organisations to create, develop and deliver breakthrough innovation ideas and transform these into sustainable new ventures, empowering their people by educating them on how to think, act and operate like entrepreneurs and emphasise user centric design and user experience. 

Mele Broomes is a dancer and choreographer based in Glasgow. Her work experiments with the extremities of movement and voice whilst investigating her current contemporary practice of African and Caribbean diasporic movement. Mele is is co-founder of Project X and V/DA and has performed nationally and internationally at GREC Festival (Barcelona), OFTTA (Montreal), danceGATHERING (Lagos), The Centre For The Less Good Ideas (Johannesburg) to name a few.

Moyo trained at the prestigious Arts Educational Schools in London. She has an extensive list of television credits in particular for the BBC. Moyo has also worked in many theatre’s across Britain with Olivier and Tony award winning directors in companies including The Shakespeare’s Globe. Moyo recently completed filming with The Fast & The Furious director, Rob Cohen on the feature The Hurricane Heist where she will be playing one of the leading roles.

Mursal is an Economics graduate currently investigating and developing innovative solutions to social problems. A social change fellow at ‘Year Here’ for recognition of her work. She has extensive practical experience in research, interviewing experts, gathering first-hand insight, and presenting insightful analysis.

Mursal is now the Founder of ‘Chatterbox’ a social enterprise creating pathways to professional careers for refugees using their existing language skills.
