Faith Agboola (Culture and Creativity Award Winner)

Faith Agboola is a performance poet, content creator and cultural producer. She is the founder of The African Writers and the convener of African Writers Meet. In recognition of her work in literature, she was awarded the Chevening Scholarship in 2020. She credits De Montfort University as the catalyst for developing her multiple creative interests. It provided her with the theoretical and practical experiences needed to build a strong brand as an innovative and creative entrepreneur.

Dr Ikpaya Ikpaya

Dr Ikpaya David Ikpaya is a 2017 Rutherford Fellow who won the 2022 Research Impact Awards Topical Prize for his clean energy-related research. He received his M.Sc. degree in Satellite Engineering and a PhD degree in Engineering and Physical Sciences (Spacecraft Engineering) from the University of Surrey, Guildford, U.K., in 2008 and 2014, respectively. Ikpaya observes that working at Surrey Satellite Technology Limited while studying at the University, enhanced his professional development.

Jennifer Uchendu (Science and Sustainability Award Winner)

Jennifer Uchendu is a sustainability analyst and founder of SustyVibes, a youth-led organisation that makes sustainability actionable, relatable, and cool for young people. She has a master's degree in development studies from the Institute of Development Studies, at the University of Sussex UK, under the Chevening Scholarship. She recalls the quality of research, network and access she has gained since graduation and how this has easily been one of the best things to happen to her.

Dr Mininim Oseji

Dr Mininim Oseji, M.B., B.S.; FMCPH; FWACP; DTMH; DHSM; MPH (HSR); is a Consultant Public Health and Community Physician. Her yearning for more training in research was fulfilled when she undertook the Master of Public Health (Health Service Research) at the University of Sheffield, UK. Mininim would like to research effective interventions in mitigating the impact of air pollution from oil exploration.
