See the registration process for private candidates below:

Please note that private candidates who wish to sit for Secondary checkpoint can now register online. The registration information can be downloaded below as a document.

Also, note that we do not offer Primary Checkpoint exams to private candidates.

Step 1: Complete your registration form online

Cambridge International Examinations - May/June 2025

Complete the online registration by referring to the specific subject code list given below in the documents section and submitting it through the "Online Registration Link" which is now active.

Step 2: Select Payment Method

You can now pay for your Schools Exams (Private Candidate Only) using any of the following online and offline payment methods:

Online Payment: This option allows for test-takers to receive instant payment confirmation within the online registration portal.

a) Debit Cards: Master Card, Visa Card, Verve Card

Offline Payment: This option allows test-takers to make payments by bank transfer.

a) Bank transfer: Payment can be made to British Council Trading Services Nigeria Limited using the details below:

Account Number: 0002859402

Account Name: British Council Trading Services (Nigeria) Limited

Bank Name: Standard Chartered Bank

• Click on “My Registrations” on top of the page

• Click on “Summary” to take a print out of the registrations you have just made

Step 3: Submit your registration

You will be required to submit the following documents via email to cambridge.registrations@ng.britishcouncil.org

  • Login to your email account to take a print out of the “Registration Summary”

  • Place your signature on the registration summary

  • Affix a passport size photograph to the “registration summary”

  • Copy of your valid international passport (Other acceptable means of ID are National ID Card, temporary NIMC slip, or Permanent Voters' card)

  • If you are under 18 years old, please submit the Child Safe Collection Consent form (download below)
  • Evidence of payment made
  • Previous results sheets/statement of entries (if you are retaking from the previous exam sessions)

Step 4: Receive your Statement of Entry

Once you have completed step one and two, you will receive your Statement of Entry and information about your examination venues approximately three weeks before your exams.

NEED TO AMEND YOUR ENTRY? 

You can make amendments to the entry you have made. Please note that amendments are subject to an additional payment as specified in the information sheet.

There are two opportunities to sit IGCSE, Checkpoint and GCSE O-/A-/AS-level examinations every year; in May/June and October/November.

When to register

Cambridge Assessment International Examinations - May/June 2025 examinations.

• Normal Registration: 15 December 2024 - 14 February 2025

• Late Registration: 15 February 2025 - 10 April 2025
