KidsABILITY Project is aimed at using arts and craft as a tool to raise advocacy on the imperative for an inclusive basic education for children with disabilities to thrive and achieve their full potentials.
The project features an Arts and Craft Workshop for children with disabilities and a stakeholders forum & exhibition to commemorate the International Day celebration of the African Child; hence the 2018 theme of the celebration (“Leave no Child Behind”) is adopted as the overarching theme of the entire event.
The KidsABILITY stakeholders forum will engage stakeholders within the education and development sector (teachers, proprietors, educationists and development organisations).
The event will also feature the following;
- Discussions on Inclusive education and its role in building resilient communities
- Live art performances& illustrations by participating children with disabilities
- Arts and Craft exhibition of the works of the kids
Key discussions will be around the theme of the artworks of the kids.
