Alongside tours you can take part in special events at some of the Open house Lagos locations.

Love at War

Join us as we honour Shakespeare’s legacy of storytelling. As one of the last plays attributed to Shakespeare (and Fletcher) is The Two noble Kinsman, an adaptation of The Knight’s tale, the first part in Canterbury Tales, it seemed appropriate to combine a knight’s quest with the idea of a traveller’s pilgrimage in search for Nigerian bards and their stories.

Segun Adefila and Jan-willem van den Bosch, propose to guide a travelling theatre troupe that bring these stories, from within the rich and varying cultures of Nigeria, to life through Love at War  a feat of drama, music and dance ending up at the premier Open House Lagos location of Freedom Park. Performances are free to attend, please register to confirm your place.
