Wanted: women in Abuja who want to learn pottery – making techniques
The British Council is holding a two day pottery making workshop in Abuja and is inviting applications from women who are interested in learning and exploring pottery making techniques. The workshop will take place on 26 and 27 January, 2017 and will focus on exploring ideas and different approaches to making pots, notably in basic plaster mold techniques.
The workshop is part of Go Woman Go! a visual arts project developed for UK/Nigeria 2015–16 by artist, Laura Aldridge.
The workshop will be facilitated by Ifesinachi Nwanyanwu, Director of House 33 and Environmental Art Gallery. He is an award winning self-taught visual artist, playwright, poet, politician and environmental activist. He has exhibited around the world and has been critically reviewed in both the local and international media.
Criteria for Application
The applicant should be female
The applicant should be aged 18–35 years old
The applicant should have an interest in pottery making
