Bloc Party Lagos is an alternative street art initiative created by A Whitespace Creative Agency and part of 'Tiwan Tiwa' a 3-day community street art festival. The 2018 Bloc Party will be 12 hours of uninterrupted music, live DJ set, games, drumming workshops, contemporary dance performances and so much more!!!

Mele Broomes

Mele Broomes is a dancer and choreographer based in Glasgow. Her work experiments with the extremities of movement and voice whilst investigating her current contemporary practice of African and Caribbean diasporic movement. Mele is is co-founder of Project X and V/DA and has performed nationally and internationally at GREC Festival (Barcelona), OFTTA (Montreal), danceGATHERING (Lagos), The Centre For The Less Good Ideas (Johannesburg) to name a few.

Nigeria Taiwo Aiyedogbon

Taiwo Aiyedogbon engages the use of space and time through a mirage means of interpretation in drawing, painting, sculpture, installation and performance art. With performances such as African time restaurant, Ipele and many other collaborative works with artists such as Odun Orimolade, Jelili Atiku, Wura-Natasha Ogunji, Raphael Etongo amongst others, Taiwo has carved a unique subject niche for herself which distinguishes her works from other performance and contemporary artists of this age.

Ghana Elisabeth Efua Sutherland

Artist, dancer, choreographer, writer, and director who works primarily across theatre and performance and is increasingly concerned with interactivity, video, sculpture and texture. She has been an artist in residence at the Google Cultural Institute in Paris as part of a residency organized by 89Plus, co-curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist and Simon Castets with Julie Boukobza; at the Villa Empain in Brussels; and at the University of Florida.
